Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother as is Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox took classes in piano, flute and harpsichord in the Royal Academy of Music London for three years throughout the 1970s. Lennox was paid a stipend and did part-time jobs to supplement her budget. Lennox believed that her abilities were inferior to those of her Royal Academy classmates. So she started thinking of other paths she could take. Lennox started out as musician with the group Dragons Playground. She left the band before her band was invited to compete on I.T.V.'s talent contest New Faces. From 1977 until 1980 she served as the main vocalist of The Tourists, a British Pop band. In this band, she made friends with Dave Stewart and together they created their duo Eurythmics. Lennox started work on Diva in 1992. This was her debut album as a solo artist. Both commercially as well as critically, it was an enormous success. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth solo album came out in the month of October, 2014. The C.D. Lennox picked her favorite blues and soul tunes. Lepidoptera was released by Lennox on the 19th of May 2019. It is a collection comprised of four songs improvised. The E.P. This is the companion album to her album Now I Let it go... artwork, which was displayed at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. This is also her first self-released album.
